For many years daniel trachsel has been enjoying taking pictures of all kinds of natural subjects: landscapes and soul-touching weather moods, the microcosm of the fungal, plant and animal world or flora and fauna in general. This gallery was created during numerous trips to near and far countries around the globe. Whereas, some gallery entries are dedicated to his immediate home area the «Seeland» (Lakeland) and to Switzerland in general. The gallery’s structure allows browsing either by region or by theme. In contrast to the regional-based galleries, the theme-based galleries may show the same picture in several galleries simultaneously.

The pictures presented here were taken with full frame cameras (Canon EOS R5, 45MP, EOS 5DS R, 50MP, and EOS 5D Mark II, 21MP). Panoramic images that have been set together by the so-called stitching technique were made with either one of the mentioned full frame cameras or with APS-C cameras (Canon EOS M5, 24MP, EOS M6 II, 32MP), both leading to high resolution images. Their richness of detail can sometimes be found in more than 100MP.
